Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BI dashboards and reports in tools such as Qlik.
  • Check efficiency of the existing data collection processes and determine business impact due to data quality issues.
  • Develop load scripts with deep understanding of BI load script and data modeling best practices.
  • Proactively identify system/app performance issues and resolve by working with the BI developers.
  • Support for release activities, including starting/stopping scheduled tasks and monitoring database schema changes.
  • Define and enforce analytics best practices on QlikSense platform across development
  • Mentor and guide analytics engineers from development team.
  • Experience with combining data from multiple different sources (such as OLE/ODBC sources, Excel, delimited and fixed-width text files etc.).
  • To filter data and identify cleansing methodologies and provide performance indicators and recommendations to correct any code problems.
  • Understand business needs and translate into technology solutions.
  • Manage key project milestones with limited direct supervision.
  • Work in fast-paced, self- managed environment and juggle priorities based on project needs.
  • Assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
  • Business acumen and the ability to communicate to project managers, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike.
  • Must have the ability to resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and align teams consistently and collaboratively.
  • Experience working with AWS, Snowflake, and modern data technologies across ingestion, transformation, and extraction/consumption.

Requirements and Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Qlik techniques and complex functions (ex: set analysis, aggregation, date & string functions, formatting, mapping & conditional statements, etc.)
  • Experience in designing and implementing big data solutions using cloud native solutions with experience in event-based architecture and data lineage tools.
  • Experience in designing solutions that leverage machine learning models with real->me decision engines that enable customer centric experiences.
  • Hands-on experience with implementing data and analytics management programs and data governance practices.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, implementing data security, data privacy and data residency policies.
  • Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models
  • Understanding of data science concepts, as well as MDM (Master Data Management), CDP (Customer Data Platform), BI (Business Intelligence), DWH (Data Warehouse) design and implementation techniques.
  • Exposure to and experience with AI/ML.
  • Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Experience working in Data Warehouse environments, like Snowflake and cloud-based technologies like MS Azure, AWS.
  • Should have used AWS data Ability to construct SQL statements and link disparate data sources, flat files with core data.
  • Deep understanding of the overall architectures of BI platforms such as Qlik, on both single and multi-node platforms.
  • Strong SQL Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Snowflake is preferred.
  • Ability to work with other developers and BI engineers, business end users, product managers, and QA Also work with IT teams (DBA, Source system Developers, DevOps) for data accuracy and performance.
  • Must be able to work with geographically diverse Escalate work progress and bottlenecks (if any) to the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Must have 5 plus years of related technology experience, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be creative, self-sufficient, and resourceful.
  • Must be a critical thinker who can successfully troubleshoot and solve data quality/performance issues.
  • Must have worked with Qlik Sense and NPrinting tools in development, and production support capacity. Should be able to demonstrate a consistent progression of Qlik-related skillsets.
  • Must be proficient in building Qlik Sense load Scripts and Qlik Sense Apps
  • Experience with report distribution techniques and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques and data modeling for performance and extensibility.

Salary Range:  120,000 - 140,000
