The Engineering Enablement team's mission is to empower product and engineering by removing friction in building and delivering features. We achieve this by promoting engineering best practices and providing a platform and toolkit of standardized services that are both efficient and easy to use, allowing product teams to spend more time building user features.  

What You’ll Do: 

As an Enablement DevOps Engineer at RSI, you will be a pivotal member of the team responsible for improving our delivery practices. You will drive the adoption of advanced security tooling, and GitHub CI while ensuring the robustness of our delivery pipelines and environments. Your role will be instrumental in automating production deployments, enhancing security, and providing self-service capabilities to engineering teams. 

All About You: 

IaC/Infra 

  • Solid understanding of IaC concepts and patterns 
  • Your knowledge of Terraform helps you provide improvements and suggestions 
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting 

DevOps 

  • Experience with presenting information via documentation for multiple audiences 
  • Proven ability to promote your design and decisions to multiple teams 
  • Clear understanding of deployment topologies and related design principles 
  • Ownership of CI pipelines: Managing and optimizing skills of continuous integration pipelines, including migration to GitHub CI 
  • Ownership of CI/CD services and security: Managing and enhancing skills of CI/CD services with a strong focus on security 
  • Clear understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals, including workload types 
  • Clear understanding of telemetry and observability tooling using Splunk or Datadog 
  • Experience participating in incident response 
  • Good understanding of software supply chain security 

Server 

  • Proven ability to update first and third-party tooling and libraries with minimal downtime (continuous delivery/blue-green deployment) 
  • Experience with establishing standardized practices for application monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing 
  • Experienced with driving the standardization of application logging and distributed tracing practices 
  • Excellent knowledge of SSDLC, secure coding, and ability to conduct training for the teams 
  • Clear understanding of security best practices with Spring or DropWizard
