The Opportunity

runZero is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Engineer to join our expanding Customer Engineering team! This role will drive impactful early-stage revenue and growth for our prospects and customers within our EMEA region. Our team is motivated by the desire to solve critical challenges our customers face in their IT and OT environments through consultative listening to understand their needs and sharing how runZero can assist. 

As a part of the runZero Customer Engineering team, you’ll be responsible for supporting our EMEA business as the bridge between sales and technical teams.  This role will include presales support for active evaluations, post sales enablement for runZero Care customers, and serving as a trusted advisor to runZero partners within EMEA.  You’ll use your communications and technical skills to win business and market share while adding a powerful and differentiating new solution to IT and Security Team’s tool belts.  This role is a unique opportunity for someone wanting to advance their career and directly impact the customer’s journey with runZero.   

What you'll do

  • Jointly own and achieve ARR goals across our EMEA region by providing technical expertise and serving as a trusted advisor to customers to help support purchasing decisions or disqualify a deal when runZero is not an appropriate technical fit.
  • Understand and communicate the runZero value proposition effectively through product demos, PoV (proof-of-value), presentations, and enablement sessions with prospects, customers, or partners.
  • Lead the support within customer PoVs to address their specific use cases and requirements, while collaborating within runZero as needed
  • Listen to customer and prospect feedback and share this with the company to guide product and go-to-market direction.  
  • Present vision, strategy, and product roadmaps to customers and partners.
  • Assist runZero Care customers to implement runZero based on best practices and achieve their success outcomes and adoption goals. 
  • Participate in channel partner conferences/events, and regional marketing events to assist with pipeline growth.
  • Support the runZero message by contributing to webcasts, blog posts, best practices guides and tips, and other technical writing support. 

Skills you have

  • 4+ years experience in a SE (Sales Engineer/Solutions Engineering) or similar customer-facing role supporting technical interactions and communications with customers
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience across multiple areas: L2-L4 networking, systems administration, cloud computing, IT security, OT security, or other relevant technical fields 
  • A natural curiosity and desire to learn new technologies in detail to get "hands-on."
  • Working knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (DORA, GDPR, NIST, etc)
  • A foundational understanding of core cybersecurity principles and challenges  
  • The technical competency to implement, configure and understand runZero's solution while building strong relationships with highly specialized customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to prioritize across multiple customer projects and responsibilities
  • Openness to coaching and mentoring, possessing a natural curiosity around technology and supporting customers
  • Actively manages technical PoV/PoCs within SE role across multiple AEs (sellers)
  • Experience with developing and delivering sales and technical enablement trainings to partners, while also participating in channel partner conferences and events 
  • Must be located in UK

Salary range: runZero values transparency in the hiring process. According to our market data, we’re expecting this role to come in at an On Target Earning (OTE) of about $250k USD with an 80/20 split between base salary and commissions plus stock options, depending on level of experience. We know that the talent market is always in flux, so please let us know if you believe we have advertised this role at the wrong salary band.
