What will you do:  

Rumble is seeking a General Accountant- Accountants Payable. What we are looking for is someone eager to learn and be adaptive to the constantly shifting landscape of a fast-growing company. This position is primarily focused on accounts payable processes with responsibilities evolving as the company grows. In this key role you will: 

  • Managing accounts payable in QuickBooks for multiple business entities
  • Managing and coordinating intercompany transactions
  • Maintaining an accounts payable aging report to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner
  • Coordinating and proposing weekly vendor payments
  • Accounts payable process cycle including invoice review and processing, credit card reconciliation and expense compliance
  • Adhere to month end close procedures which include preparing monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliation to general ledger, subledgers, accrued liabilities, prepaid and non-current assets
  • Responsible for meeting with business leads to ensure accuracy in monthly reporting
  • Assist in establishing, upholding, and reviewing financial controls and guidelines
  • Assist in the annual audit process by providing required documents to external auditors
  • Comply with administering payments and reports for local, state, and federal taxes
  • Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business/Finance/Accounting from University/College
  • Working towards an accounting designation (CPA) considered an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or financial management
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online considered an asset
  • Firm understanding of various payment methods (Wire payments, ACH/EFT, other third-party services such as PayPal)
  • Technical competence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Experience working with media and/or technology infrastructure companies a bonus
  • A proven record of contributions made to process improvements
