As a software engineer in the tools product team, your focus will be to develop innovative tools which both simplify the complexities of large distributed systems, as well as allow the developer and operator  to drill down and understand the behavior of individual entities in the system.   • Designing, prototyping, estimating, coding, testing, documenting and maintaining tools products. You will work closely with the Tools lead and product management. 

  • Developing and maintaining professional User Interfaces (UI) and Command Line Interface (CLI) tools by creating wireframes, prototypes and translating requirements, use cases, and/or abstract conceptual ideas into inventive visual interfaces.

  • Triage customer issues, and find timely creative solutions to customer problems

  • Evaluate and analyze performance


  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience developing with web technologies HTML5, Javascript, CSS.

  • 1+ years of experience developing custom application monitoring software such as Prometheus, InfluxDB, or similar.

  • 2+ years experience with Java. Some familiarity and ability C/C++ is also very useful. 

  • Knowledge and interest in distributed systems, peer-to-peer networks, and/or computer networks.

  • Be able to work independently.

  • Be successful working in a highly distributed team.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
