Position Overview:
The MSR Operations Specialist will be responsible for various tasks supporting the Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) trading desk. This role will focus on understanding business processes and their relationship to MSR acquisitions, and analyzing and identifying areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and provide better service to internal and external customers.
Working Relationships:
The MSR Operations Specialist role reports to the MSR Operations Manager in the Portfolio Management department. This role works closely with members of the Document Custody and Servicing Transfers teams along with other internal stakeholder and external vendors and clients.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist Transaction Management team in ensuring delivery of all data and documents required to service loans purchased through bulk and flow transactions
Act as liaison between RoundPoint’s Loan Administration, Escrow, Investor Reporting, Client Management, and Document Custody departments and external partners
Utilize key portfolio data and reporting, including generating, validating and presenting weekly and monthly reporting
Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis services as required to meet business needs
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other similar discipline
The right candidate will be flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, and have strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, peers, and management
One to two years of recent experience in a financial or banking environment desired, but not required
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
