The programme starts with a fundamentals week for the entire graduate cohort, where you will have in depth networking and insight sessions on Rothesay as a whole. What you’ll do:
In this role you will work within the Operational Risk Team to support the operation of Rothesay’s Operational Risk Management framework, including scenario assessment, risk monitoring, control assessment, and risk event analysis.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse risk data and information and produce risk reports for Rothesay’s risk committees.
- Engage with teams across the entire business to review and challenge their risk management practices and operational controls.
- Assist in the the scenario analysis process, including preparation of briefing materials, workshop facilitation, and production of scenario reports, to help quantify the impact of severe operational risk events.
- Contribute to focused reviews on specific risk areas to provide insight and assurance to the business.
- Support the oversight of Rothesay’s third-party / outsourcing relationships as well as business projects.
- Help deliver general and targeted training to the business to enhance the understanding and ownership of operational risk.
- Work collaboratively with other teams within the Risk function and other assurance functions (compliance, internal audit, etc.) to support and strengthen our integrated assurance model.
What we’re looking for:
- We recruit from all academic disciplines; although a high degree of numeracy is required.
- Excellent academic credentials are essential. You must have a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent degree from a leading university.
- Internships & work experience in the financial services is highly desired but not essential.
- You will need to demonstrate a clear interest and intellectual curiosity in the financial markets
- Fluency in English is a pre-requisite.
