Challenges You Will Solve

The Operations team at Roostify is responsible for managing platform and software projects and helping our enterprise business customers adopt new features, consume releases, and manage change. We work with Product, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success teams to ensure that our platform and our customers’ businesses evolve together. We facilitate and enhance Roostify’s product and software delivery lifecycle in order to bring our features to market in a predictable manner that exceeds our customer’s expectations.

The Program Manager will work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to successfully manage the delivery of multiple initiatives across our largest client. The Program Manager will organize and facilitate key planning, release readiness, and steering committee meetings, and provide guidance and coaching for other Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Project Managers.

The Program Manager will also be expected to assume project management responsibility for cross-functional dependencies, meeting industry, business, and technical requirements. They will build schedules and project plans, manage risks and interdependencies, work through multiple competing priorities, and ultimately ensure high quality and on-time delivery of complex technical projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage multiple Delivery projects from start to finish across all workstreams for one or more clients
  • Ensure project schedule, key milestones, and deliverables are clearly understood by the project team members from Product, Engineering, and Support; support the presentation of the project schedule and weekly updates by the project manager to the client
  • Manage change control, to ensure that any changes in scope factor in impacts to schedule or budget/resources and work with Sales to fully execute associated contract amendments
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and manage client’s program level interdependencies
  • Communicate project status, issues, and solutions to all stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Facilitate decision making for scope/schedule/budget tradeoffs and project milestones (facilitation <> decision maker) across the client’s project portfolio
  • Ensure Roostify’s operational readiness for client specific implementation and delivery of new features, which may include areas such as support, deployment, alerts and monitoring, performance, compliance, documentation, reporting, and training
  • Define and document the delivery methodology, as agreed upon by Engineering, Product, and Delivery teams
  • Drive awareness and encourage adherence to the Agile delivery methodology
  • Suggest improvements to the methodology based on field experience and client interactions
  • Organize and facilitate key client program wide milestone meetings (e.g. release planning, go/no-go decisions, etc.)
  • Measure the results of Roostify’s project deliveries, with the goal to improve predictability and quality, while limiting unnecessary overhead and promoting an Agile approach

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years experience managing complex software implementations
  • Demonstrated experience driving improvements to software delivery methodologies
  • Experience with Cloud based SaaS products and infrastructure
  • Extensive experience with Scrum agile methodology required and experience with other methodologies a plus (e.g. Kanban, waterfall)
  • Expertise with the Atlassian tool set a plus and experience with other software development tool sets a plus
  • Experience with project management software
  • A willingness to learn new technologies as needed
  • Agile certifications and other project management certifications a plus, although not required

Roostify HQ is located in San Francisco, CA, and we are open to remote work within the USA for this role.
