About Rondo Energy 

Rondo Energy's mission is to eliminate 15% of global CO2 emissions in 15 years. 

To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method. 
 

We are looking for an experienced, customer-centric candidate to join our team and repower industrial heat at scale. This role will have a significant impact in ensuring customer satisfaction in the construction, commissioning and operations of the Rondo Heat Batteries supplied to our industrial clients as well as identifying opportunities for product improvement and potential new market niches.

Objectives of this role 

  • Manage the Field Services Group within Rondo, including commissioning/startup, early O&M and remote monitoring.  
  • Represent the Rondo organization as the day-to-day customer interface for units in operation  
  • Identify opportunities for Rondo in supporting our clients and customers during commissioning and operational phases. Learn the ins and outs of Rondo-supplied equipment to accurately answer questions and adequately serve customers 
  • Integrate seamlessly into the Rondo organization providing a knowledge conduit within Rondo and between Rondo and our customers. 
  • Resolve all client issues with the Rondo Heat Battery 
  • Identify and contract with local, regional or national O&M companies to support Rondo’s installed base.  
  • Leave customers feeling satisfied and confident in Rondo-supplied equipment  

 

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to): 

  • Build and directly manage an outstanding Field Services and O&M team and programs providing on-site technical and operating and maintenance services to Rondo customers worldwide

  • Contract with and manage local O&M service companies to support Rondo’s fleet operations 
  • Regularly meet and work directly with industrial customers to ensure their satisfaction with the performance of Rondo–supplied equipment  
  • Manage remote monitoring in Rondo’s remote monitoring facility to ensure that operational trends and parameter monitoring can accurately track performance and identify issues in advance. 
  • Develop an intimate understanding of operational costs and provide O&M budgeting support to customers and home office 
  • Develop and maintain O&M manuals, training materials, outage management and inspection plans for internal and external use. 
  • Develop and coordinate Rondo’s CMMS and spare parts inventory. 
  • Identify opportunity for O&M cost improvements to industrial customers and remote monitoring 
  • Become an expert in identifying and diagnosing equipment issues 
  • Provide employees and clients with tools and training to successfully operate Rondo equipment and interface with the client processes 
  • Liase with the Rondo's technical and business teams to ensure that technical resources are working to solve any operating equipment issue that may arise 
  • Ensure all field personnel are properly trained and qualified in their position 
  • Travel to job sites to ensure quality services are provided and to interface with Operation and field services team as well as customers 
  • Follow company procedures and safety policies

This role is on-site Alameda, hybrid, or remote, California preferred, and necessitates being on-site at our projects as necessary for the success of the project. The estimated annual salary range for this role is $200,000 to $235,000 and it would be eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
