Rondo Energy is decarbonizing industrial heat.  

 

Rondo deploys low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high-temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method. 

 

As the Document Controls Manager of the Project Delivery Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination, communication, and execution of Rondo’s large-scale thermal energy storage projects. You will work closely with Rondo Project Managers, with a focus on leading and managing document control systems for various construction projects at Rondo Energy. This person will act as a team lead, providing technical direction and resource planning for the team. You will be a linchpin in deploying Rondo’s technology from the design phase and construction into production handover of equipment upgrades and new equipment installation. You will be the key interface to our equipment vendors, equipment designers, manufacturing engineering, factory design and facilities teams as a project document controller. The role will be responsible for ensuring up-to-date equipment documentation, records, procedures, standards, and the quality management systems.   

 

 

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to): 

  • Design change management coordination  
  • Improve on data tracking tools and organization 
  • Ensure proper hand-off from scoping to design to construction 
  • Construction Documentation/Administration Phases tasks include file sharing, print coordination, logging RFIs & submittals, QA/QC documents stamping and coordination. 
  • Project Close-Out tasks include dead filing and punch list tracking. 
  • Ensuring up-to-date equipment documentation, records, procedures, standards.   
  • Build positive, trusting relationships within the team and across the organization while scoping, planning, and executing on multifaceted technical projects. 

 

What You Will Bring: 

  • 5+ years of experience in an administrative capacity preferably with an architecture, design or construction firm. 
  • Bachelor's Degree (Construction management preferred) or equivalent of relevant experience and evidence of exceptional ability. 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail. 
  • High level of professionalism and strong sense of urgency. 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Sharepoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Aconex, PlanGrid, and MS Project strongly preferred. 
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance; Proactive, motivated self-starter.

The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. This role necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ. The role is eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
