Position Summary: 

The IT Procurement Manager will be responsible for ongoing management of third-party vendor relationships; onboarding and offboarding, contract negotiation and renewals, licensing audits and administration. 

Key Responsibilities: 

New Vendor Onboarding and Risk Management

  • Manage new vendor onboarding requests, coordinating across Legal, IT, and Accounting 
  • Research D&B to assess operational, reputational, financial, and compliance risks 
  • Partner with InfoSec for cybersecurity risk and evaluate the impact of any potential risk 
  • Partner with stakeholders to balance risk tolerance with business goals and the role the vendor will play within the organization 

Contract Management 

  • Support and manage technology purchases into the IT environment, working with InfosSec, Legal, and Business Leaders to ensure compliance to data hosting/processing policies and regulations 
  • Manage negotiation of new contracts and renewals to existing contracts, optimizing for pricing leverage, terms flexibility, and risk mitigation 
  • Coordinate all aspects of contract management, from negotiation and execution to renewal and termination 

Vendor Performance Management 

  • Engage with stakeholders for vendor feedback 
  • Hold periodic business reviews to share and receive feedback from vendor 
  • Track and manage any get-well plans and/or vendor offboarding 
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with key vendors, focusing on long-term value creation and collaborative growth 

Selective Audits 

  • Contract Audit: Review existing contracts (with legal support) to answer the following questions:
    • Is the company receiving what was agreed? 
    • Is the vendor performing as required? 
  • Purchasing Audit: Review existing POs (with AP support) to answer the following questions:
    • Is the company paying according to the contract without exception? 
    • Is the cost considered competitive to market value? 

Category Management 

  • Maintain a portfolio of vendors associated with a discrete category of products or services – e.g., Software, Hardware, Publications, etc. 
  • Identify trends, assess performance, and uncover opportunities for improvement 
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key internal stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their needs 
  • Organize and manage product demonstrations and user trials, developing options and recommendations to business stakeholders 

Procurement Operations 

  • Manage the procurement lifecycle within Coupa, including requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, invoicing, and account coding. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial approvals for procurement transactions 
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to address any discrepancies and maintain strong vendor relationships through effective payment management 

Requirements: 

  • Industry Knowledge - Demonstrated experience in managing company-wide Hardware, Software, SaaS, and Professional Services procurement for a Technology Department 
  • Significant experience in a Procurement or Vendor Manager role 
    • 5-7 years’ experience managing both large and small vendors 
  • Excellent communication skills and situational awareness 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Life Sciences business stakeholders a plus 
  • Knowledge and experience with Third Party Risk Management a plus 

Base salary for this role will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market conditions. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $95,000 - $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on individual circumstances and business and market conditions. 

Base salary if hired is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include other components such as discretionary bonuses, equity, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 

This position is at-will and Roivant reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance and business and market conditions.
