We are looking for an exceptionally awesome hands-on Associate Team Director of Search Engine Marketing with at least 7+ years of experience managing medium to large campaigns for B2B brands. This position reports to our Senior Team Director, SEM.

About you

The Associate Team Director of SEM will manage, oversee, and up-level part of the paid search team here at ROI·DNA. This role will grow SEM team members, partner with clients to drive results and continue finding new ways to improve existing processes that contribute to agency growth.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage a team of experienced channel SMEs by guiding paid search strategy, identifying account opportunities and obstacles, and honing communication and leadership skills
  • Maintain the ability to train paid search team on all paid search fundamentals, including ABM strategy, media planning, campaign building & optimizing, reporting, platform nuances, and data processing & analysis
  • Coaching direct reports on foundational skills, including clear communication, expectation setting, rapport building, active listening, and conflict de-escalation
  • Guide overall paid search unit strategy, forecasting, and planning
  • Responsible for leading the execution team and a portfolio of performance media accounts towards stated client and company objectives. Develops, manages, and monitors the team's executions of the assigned accounts
  • Motivates, leads, and manages teams to work collaboratively in driving programs that meet our clients’ performance and business objectives
  • Holds team members accountable for strategic insights, thought leadership, and operational excellence on all assigned accounts
  • Closely oversee and facilitate the onboarding of new accounts that fall under direct reports
  • Interface with direct reports' clients to collect feedback, articulate value, present strategy, and strengthen the relationship
  • Provide bi-annual performance reviews and customized professional development plans for direct reports
  • Assures quality control of all paid search media planning and implementation 
  • Drives adoption of stated account management best practices through example setting, positive reinforcement, and behavioral correction
  • Prepares and presents plans for ongoing talent management for the team
  • Embraces and encourages a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity
  • Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members
  • Attends client meetings as needed, interface as needed with executive level and middle management level on client-side during meetings and presentations
  • Assists sales/growth team on audits, decks, and pitches for prospective paid search clients
  • Reports to Senior Director and senior leadership on key client service pillars: current client growth, retention, new business, and partnerships
  • Identifies critical client/account issues and escalates them to appropriate executives promptly
  • Provides concise, actionable information on account opportunities, account obstacles, and direct reports
  • Understands and explains the features and benefits of all ROI·DNA's products and services 
  • Maintains sufficient knowledge of core digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, content marketing, email marketing, and programmatic

 

What you have

  • At least 7+ years of experience in online marketing inclusive of SEM, social, programmatic/display, content syndication, and social media, ideally managing campaigns with $750k - $1MM or higher monthly spend
  • Some B2B and ABM experience is a must
  • Superb communication skills - written and oral, presentation skills are key for this role – as is speaking to clients in their own language
  • Highly analytical in both thinking and hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics and other tools
  • High-end Excel skills: coding, using advanced formulas and pivot tables
