We are looking for an exceptionally awesome Senior Supervisor, Media Direct, to be responsible for managing campaigns and a team of media experts. This position reports to our Associate Team Director, Media Direct. 

The Senior Supervisor, Media Direct has expertise in leading and working with digital media execution and planning, and can partner with clients to own and grow their accounts and strategies. This person also has experience across digital marketing channels to help elevate and guide the Media Direct team on strategy and execution. This person needs to have at least one year of experience mentoring, managing, and growing other team members.

About you

  • A great communicator who loves leading teams and implementing media buys across the agency
  • Hands-on experience with the full media buying process: Strategy, Planning, Buying, Executing and Reporting
  • Excel at leading large accounts ($100k+) with hands-on experience at an agency

What you’ll be doing

  • Help manage, mentor and grow members of the media direct team on strategy and execution
  • Collaborate on ROI-positive lead generation campaigns through digital channels, particularly on content syndication, e-blasts, newsletters, and other types of sponsorship and guaranteed lead programs
  • Develop ongoing testing roadmaps for your channel(s) to continually improve performance
  • Work with media buyers and planners to track and manage the delivery of programs, ensure that partner delivery is in accordance with the IO terms and negotiating make-goods where necessary
  • Hands on execution for clients:
    • Identify, RFP, and negotiate with appropriate media partners for various campaigns based on the goals and objectives of that campaign. May include but isn’t limited to impression-based or lead-based buys such as eblasts, newsletter sponsorships, and content syndication programs.
    • End-to-end coordination and management of approved buys including creation of IOs, negotiating terms, overseeing trafficking and coordination of creative/deliverables, and ongoing reporting and optimization of the partner mix
    • Create and track lead generation campaigns in Convertr
    • Investigate the results and make optimization recommendations while the media is live and use empirical data to improve both short and long term results
  • Communicate your key initiatives and optimizations and ongoing performance to both ROI·DNA’s internal media team and directly to the client, working closely with the Strategy team
  • Provide assistance in troubleshooting campaign challenges
  • Ongoing investigation & research of new media opportunities
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Continually and thoughtfully lead the team in strategies and best practices in paid advertising
  • Collaborate across departments in order to enhance the media direct team’s deliverables

What you have

  • 6+ years of experience in media buying, planning, and strategy, ideally managing campaigns with $100K higher monthly spend, and B2B experience is a must
  • 1+ years in direct management of a team or person
  • Proven resource management and leadership experience are essential for this role
  • Agency experience required
  • Deep experience with B2B tactics such as content syndication, paid webinars, dedicated email, newsletter, etc.
  • Convertr experience is preferred but not required
  • Superb communication skills - written and oral, presentation skills are key for this role – as is speaking to clients in their own language
  • High-end Excel skills, including coding and using formulas, and pivot tables

  • Highly analytical in both thinking and hands-on experience with tools like Google Analytics and other tools.
  • Comfortable with both marketing and advertising concepts and the advanced mathematics involved in interpreting complex output from multiple systems and analyzing data.
