Security Project Manager

Rockstar is on the lookout for talented Security Project Managers who possess a passion for protecting intellectual property and the company at large from cybersecurity threats. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. 

WHAT WE DO 

• The Rockstar Security team is responsible for ensuring the technical infrastructure that supports the business is secured from data disclosure, destruction/corruption, and denial-of-service.  
• We foster a security culture across all teams and disciplines at Rockstar, providing policy, standards, guidance, and awareness training to everyone.  
• Work closely with departments across the company to understand their needs and help ensure they are following the best security practices.   
• We work with technology stakeholders to assess our posture, build controls, and mitigate security risks.  
• Our team is on the front-line of monitoring, detecting, and responding to security related incidents.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead and manage security projects throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security analysts, developers, IT and stakeholders, to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables. 
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and track progress using project management tools and techniques. 
• Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate as necessary to ensure timely resolution. 
• Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and team members. 
• Stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and apply best practices to project execution. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field. 
• Proven experience with 3+ in project management, preferably in the Security domain. 
• Strong understanding of Security principles, technologies, and methodologies. 
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively. 
• Proficiency in project management tools and software. 
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, CISM) are a plus. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. 

SKILLS 

• Must be organized and detail oriented. 
• Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and communication tools. 
• An intrinsic sense of ownership, initiative, and drive.
• Effectively manage time and be adaptable to shifting priorities.
