Senior DevOps Engineer, Services, FiveM

Rockstar is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to support the Cfx.re creator platforms, including FiveM and RedM. As a member of the team, you work directly at the heart of all backend services that power the FiveM and RedM platforms. You are critical of quality, understand how to scale software and enjoy working on complex projects.
WHAT WE DO
- We build FiveM and RedM, the technology platform that enables players to experience community created content on fully customized dedicated servers where creators can develop their own game modes and other modifications in a variety of scripting languages.
- We create online services to support all the features utilized by the FiveM and RedM platforms, including server discovery, player authentication, server management, content management and more.
- We work closely with developers, DBAs, build engineers, and security teams.
- We build world-class infrastructure for our high traffic, high visibility web sites and services.
- We provide operational support for critical services that enable connected experiences on our platforms.
- We constantly review our processes, automate wherever possible, and develop our own toolchains.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain Linux servers in a highly available, public facing environment.
- Manage and support .NET/Go web sites and services.
- Build and support PostgreSQL/Redis failover clusters.
- Intermediate understanding of Docker/Kubernetes containerization technologies.
- Automate workflows and contribute to our significant Bash/YAML codebase.
- Administer monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana.
- Perform root cause analysis through multiple infrastructure layers.
- Provide timely and creative solutions to difficult problems.
- Respond to critical off-hours requests in an on-call rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Bash/YAML
- Experience with configuration management or infrastructure as code.
- Experience managing highly distributed, Linux-based, production environments.
- Basic understanding of Windows Server operating system internals.
- Strong experience with NGINX, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and HTTP.
- A degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience.
SKILLS
- Basic Understanding of Containerization Technology
PLUSES

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting online gaming development and production environments.
- Windows administration experience.
- Experience with containers, Docker preferred.
- Knowledge of C# or Golang.
- Knowledge of Rockstars’ game titles and passion for playing videogames.
- Knowledge of the FiveM/RedM platform and passion for working with the modding community

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year.
