Rockstar New York is on the lookout for a talented media analytics expert, who can drive our marketing efforts in the areas of strategic campaign planning, analysis, and optimization.

The ideal candidate will have experience across a range of advertising disciplines, working cross-functionally with insights, marketing tech, analytics, and other teams to meet our company’s goals.

This is a new role at Rockstar Games, so this candidate will establish workflows that support planning, creative testing, campaign execution, deriving insights, and applying those to future plans to improve ROI.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Games Strategy Team develops and executes all go-to-market campaigns and persistent Online games programming across Rockstar Games’ suite of titles.
  • We are responsible for leading the strategic planning and creative execution for all facets of promoting and selling our titles including creative video and static asset development, product packaging, social media, events, partnerships, promotions, retail, and much more.
  • We are the key gatekeepers of the Rockstar Game brand, ensuring brand guidelines are adhered across all channels and overseeing all extensions of the Rockstar Games brand through all consumer touchpoints.
  • We work closely with teams across all of publishing and the worldwide development studios to ensure seamless execution of plans internally, in our game titles and across the world, including the always on marketing of our Online game titles, Grand Theft Auto Online, and Red Dead Online.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help develop a data-driven media procurement practice at Rockstar Games.
  • Create, maintain, and improve our media planning forecasts.
  • Provide data-driven campaign suggestions supporting our campaign goal and objectives.
  • Work with media manager, agency, and insights team to provide media optimization recommendations.
  • Work with media manager to evaluate and recommend A/B testing campaigns to help optimize creative and messaging.
  • Develop media behavior and conversion benchmarks to incorporate into models and to help communicate performance.
  • Work with insights team to develop territory splits that best support our campaign objectives.
  • Work with insights team to optimize campaign funnels, channel performance, and customer segmentation.
  • Support our media attribution practice.
  • Properly archive and document analysis or processes to help create a data-driven practice.
  • Ability to develop and deliver reports including thoughtful documentation with tables and charts for reference.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years’ experience working on analytical projects.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical field like Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics. Business Administration will also work but must clearly display your analytical background.
  • Experience working on video game projects and understand the industry landscape.

SKILLS

  • Ample experience incorporating analytics best practices.
  • Highly proficient in analysis and reporting using Excel — ability to quickly digest large amounts of data, perform analysis, and identify trends to support business decisions.
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms like Datorama, Anaplan, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience with ad platforms and different analysis hurdles that come with each platform.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to learn on the fly.
  • Great time management and communication skills
