About the Role

Rocket Travel is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join our innovative Data Science team. This role involves close collaboration with fellow data scientists, data engineers, and application developers to construct machine learning and deep learning models that drive our data-centric products and services. The position offers the opportunity to work on engaging projects encompassing areas such as learning to rank, natural language processing, AB testing, and Large Language Models, providing an enriching professional experience.

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. 
  • You have at least 3 years of work experience in the field of data science, machine learning, or similar roles. Experience gained during the completion of a PhD or MS degree can be considered as part of this requirement.
  • You’re an expert with Python and its data science and deep learning libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • You demonstrate hands-on experience designing and implementing a variety of machine learning algorithms, including both supervised and unsupervised learning models.
  • You have the ability to navigate complex data-related challenges with a strong commitment to deep-dive analyses and root cause identification for addressing bugs or anomalies.
  • You excel in written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
  • You have a proven track record of delivering on complex data-related projects, including keeping knowledgeable about, adapting, and utilizing recent developments in the field when advantageous.

Bonus points if you have expertise in some of these areas:

  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Experience with PySpark or other big data processing frameworks.
  • Specific knowledge or experience in areas such as learning to rank, NLP, and AB testing.
  • Published work in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related fields.
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud computing services.
