FINANCE

Rocket Lab’s Finance team is responsible for all financial transactions for the company, operating as a well-oiled machine to maximize the value of our work. Our Finance team are made up of planners, analysts and accountants, and manage our policies, compliance, and reporting. They’re the ones who keep our financial operations in check, always thinking ahead and taking care to meet all of our financial, business, and government obligations. They’re attentive, diligent, and meticulous, and are mission-critical to Rocket Lab.

Sr. Financial Systems Analyst

This is your opportunity to join an exciting and growing Financial Systems Team based out of Rocket Lab’s Headquarters in Long Beach, CA. In this role, you will understand the operational and financial workflows as it relates to administration and development of our financial systems. The Sr. Financial Systems Analyst will work collaboratively across different departments implementing company-wide financial system projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Sr. Financial System Analyst will serve the collaborative system owner and subject matter expect of our financial platforms. This includes implementation of OneStream, enhancements of Infor LN (Finance), and implementation / administration of SAP Concur. The candidate will understand the full cycle of software implementation and product development. Transform business opportunities and problems into accounting / finance requirements implement a system solution.

You will report to the Director of Finance Systems within our finance organization. This is an onsite role at Long Beach, CA. In this role you will have the opportunity to build a solid financial systems processes and foundations that will serve as the building block for finance organization for years to come.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

  • Work closely with accounting and finance to implement FCCS software - OneStream.
  • Work closely with accounting and business partners to implement SAP Concur.
  • Finance ERP (Infor LN) support with emphasis on order to cash, automation, and special projects.
  • Maintain and develop financial models in Workday Adaptive / OneStream for AOP, budget, and forecast cycles.
  • Develop and recommend reports and KPI for Management Reporting.
  • Research and resolve issues, assisting in outlining, documenting, and implementing enhancements.
  • Interact effectively with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to define business processes and identify areas of improvements/automation.
  • Invoice OCR system administration.
  • Provide day to day support and administration for our portfolio of financial systems, OneStream, Infor LN, SAP Concur, Workday Adaptive, and Finance Confluence page.
  • Project management of implementation and documenting new processes and process owners.
  • Metadata/Master data owner and change process management.
  • User access control management processes.
  • Contribute to SOX audits and being a gatekeeper for SOX processes.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of ERP and/or Financial Systems experience.
  • 3+ years of EPM / FCCS / ERP administration and programming experience.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

  • Infor LN ERP Knowledge/Experience (Financials) or similar ERP.
  • OneStream (FCCS) or Oracle FCCS.
  • Workday Adaptive or similar EPM.
  • SAP Concur.
  • MS PowerBI or other visualization tools.
  • Ability to understand integrations and how different systems interact with each other.
  • Working knowledge of basic Accounting and Finance principles; including, monthly-close, financial consolidations, standard financial reporting, financial performance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Working knowledge of basic data query and manipulation concepts/languages (SQL, Python, Visual Basics, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology.
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use independent judgment and discretion.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization with attention to details.
  • Experience in SOX compliance environment.
  • Understanding of GAAP, non-GAAP, IFRS, and other SEC reporting requirements.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. 

Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab’s compensation package for this role. You may be eligible for company stock, stock options, or cash incentives, and can purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab’s Employee Stock Purchase Program.
