About the role

The primary purpose of the Lead Manufacturing Engineer is to be responsible for leading a team of Manufacturing Engineers who provide a centralised support function to the business with high value risk reduction and cost saving initiatives.

This position will work closely and develop strong relationships with the Software, R&D, Engineering, Test, Engineering Change, Supply Chain and Production Managers / Supervisors / Technicians.

Regular activities of the Lead Manufacturing Engineer include leading a team of Engineers to deliver multiple, on time and right first-time continuous improvement projects, as well as executing their own improvement projects.


  
Essential skills

  • Engineering / Computer Science Degree
  • 7+ years Manufacturing engineering experience
  • Hands on technical experience debugging complex systems within a Manufacturing environment
  • Strong leader with a proven ability to deliver results
  • Can do approach and flexibility to thrive around growing teams and processes
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing assembly plant

 

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Siemens Team Center / Infor LN
  • Knowledge of production quality metrics
  • Experience transitioning products from prototype to production
  • Compliance driven Manufacturing change implementation
