Business Administration and Customer Experience Specialist

Candidate will support the Global Launch Services and Communications and Media teams to ensure a premium experience for all Rocket Lab customers. Based in Huntington Beach, the Candidate will support all customer engagements and interactions at the Huntington Beach headquarters, and at other locations, including conferences and launch events. The Candidate will also manage the Salesforce platform on a daily basis for the Global Launch Services team to ensure a complete and accurate customer database and optimized Salesforce functionality.


Administrative Support

  • Manage team calendars to ensure alignment of meetings, travel schedules and leave are communicated to the team
  • Vet initial leads from the general inquiry database using a standard questionnaire to pre-qualify opportunities
  • Maintain an active research within public databases for new business opportunities and announcements
  • eMarketing liaison within the US to Corporate Marketing for all giveaways, product brochures, media and Rocket Lab information packets
  • Record minutes and action items from BD/Mission Management meetings
  • Organizing logistics (includes shipping and ordering supplies)
  • Manage Salesforce platform, with Administrator privileges, to ensure a complete and accurate database
  • Exploit Salesforce functionality to deliver dashboards, reports and other products as required by Global Launch Services team and Rocket Lab Executive team
  • Provide relief coverage of front desk, as needed

Convention Execution

  • Work with the Communications team in planning conference events and schedule, including creating and managing to a financial budget
  • Ensure all logistics, invitations/RSVP’s, payments, capital equipment, graphics, materials, and contracts are executed to achieve meeting goals
  • Create timelines and holds planning meetings, schedules recap meetings, with employees to coordinate efforts and ensure responsibilities are clear
  • Work with internal personnel to ensure materials are shipped to correct locations and manages delivery dates
  • Act as “go-to person” at meetings for problem resolution, attendee inquiries, etc. and makes decisions/resolves issues, as necessary
  • Responsible for working with external vendors to develop booth properties, graphics, and meeting-related education tools, etc.  
  • Manage and plan Rocket Lab HQ launch viewing events for customers

Customer Experience

Facilities Fit-out

  • Support Brand & Digital Media Lead in oversight of fit-out of Huntington Beach and Launch Complex 2 signage, furniture and artwork/branding, including sourcing and reviewing samples

Collateral Management

  • Print management for all US-based collateral 
  • Management of post-launch framed mission patches for customers incl. personalization, framing, printing and shipping + packaging and distribution 
  • Work with Communications Team and Business Development team to develop design solutions for the premium Rocket Lab customer launch experience 
  • Ensure design collateral adheres to Rocket Lab brand guidelines

Merchandise Management

  • Review sample quality for mission patches and new merchandise
  • Manage US merchandise inventory and stock take 
  • Support the Business Development teams by ensuring stock is available for tradeshows and customer visits 
  • Coordinate and manage the distribution of team uniforms in Huntington Beach


  • Coordinate tours and visits with customers and Rocket Lab team to ensure premium customer experiences
  • Coordinate preparations for on-site customer meetings to ensure meetings are well executed


  • Plan and manage project budgets 
  • Operate within finance policies and systems 


  • Primary work location is at Huntington Beach HQ
  • Domestic travel will be required
  • International travel may be required 
  • Work according to other time zones (particularly New Zealand) when required
  • Work weekends when required
  • Perform any other duties as directed 
  • Ensure health and safety policies and standard operating procedures are followed

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing trade shows
