The Data Engineering Team’s focus is owning and maintaining data pipelines and datasets. This team will be partnering closely with upstream engineering teams and all downstream consumers of the data.
The role is located in the office location(s) listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. Please connect with your recruiter for more information regarding our in-office philosophy and expectations.
Key priorities are:
- Build a core data model to house Product and Experimentation datasets
- Build pipelines to integrate all data from product logging and compute metrics
- Build aggregate datasets to easily surface key metrics and act as a source of truth
What you'll do
- Coach and mentor Robinhood’s talented engineers by giving them actionable feedback, setting clear goals, and coordinating project work with other teams and managers
- Deliver high-quality, impactful projects in record time with thoughtful planning
- Apply technical leadership and expertise to both your team and across engineering
- Improve the ease of accessing insights from data within Robinhood by providing structured datasets and abstractions over core data.
- Work with other engineering managers to refine and improve Robinhood’s processes and systems for product development
- Communicate effectively with other teams to understand and deliver on data pipelines that are well maintained and are high quality
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or data engineer and 3+ years as a manager
- Proven ability to coach engineers and interns on the team

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
