Join a leading fintech company that’s democratizing finance for all.

Robinhood was founded on a simple idea: that our financial markets should be accessible to all. With customers at the heart of our decisions, Robinhood is lowering barriers and providing greater access to financial information. Together, we are building products and services that help create a financial system everyone can participate in.

As we continue to build...

We’re seeking curious, growth minded thinkers to help shape our vision, structures and systems; playing a key-role as we launch into our ambitious future. If you’re invigorated by our mission, values, and drive to change the world — we’d love to have you apply.

About the team + role

Research has been central to our product development and business strategy since the very beginning - and our team continues to grow, along with our user base and product. Working with our product and marketing teams at Robinhood, you'll help us systematically understand how people interact with financial products and how they think and feel about money.

We are seeking a Staff Growth Researcher to join our team. You will partner with horizontal leadership across pillars and functions to identify growth opportunities throughout the customer journey and help strategize and define how Robinhood brings new customers to the platform. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves collaboration, and is curious and flexible. We often have one- to two-week turnarounds, which requires critical and creative thinking to move fast while maintaining rigor (and not burning out).

The role is located in the following office locations (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; or Bellevue, WA) which will align with our in-office working environment. Please connect with your recruiter for more information regarding our in-office philosophy and expectations.

What you’ll do

  • Proactively and independently identify high-impact questions from a product or business perspective
  • Answer research questions with a strong blend of qualitative and quantitative methods, building upon and synthesizing with all kinds of prior data and knowledge
  • Analyze the growth funnel and results across experiments to identify and investigate core barriers and strategic opportunities along the journey
  • Represent the voice of the user throughout the development process, working closely with PMs, data scientists, designers, engineers, marketing strategists, researchers, and leadership
  • Clearly communicate your rich research insights, translating into strategic and tactical impact
  • Collaborate and partner across our outstanding Research community

What you bring

  • 6-8+ years of quantitative or qualitative experience; primarily spent in industry (though some academic work is also acceptable)
  • Experience with product growth models and methods
  • Appetite and ability to move very quickly, while still maintaining rigor and quality of impact
  • Bachelors Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, or similar
  • Record of applying your research skills to create product and business impact
  • Strong work ethic, excellent organization and communication skills (for storytelling and stakeholder jams)
  • Love and care for your craft

What we offer

  • Market competitive and pay equity-focused compensation structure
  • 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents
  • Annual lifestyle wallet for personal wellness, learning and development, and more!
  • Lifetime maximum benefit for family forming and fertility benefits
  • Dedicated mental health support for employees and eligible dependents
  • Generous time away including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Lively office environment with catered meals, fully stocked kitchens, and geo-specific commuter benefits

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
