About the team + role 

The Finance Systems Team's mission is to drive operational excellence by facilitating seamless collaboration across diverse departments and leveraging innovative ERP Applications. We are committed to automating manual processes, enabling new entity roll-outs, ensuring strategic success through mergers, acquisitions, and integration innovations.

As an Oracle Applications Engineer on the team, you will be a key contributor in the design, plan, implement, develop and maintain Robinhood's financial systems SaaS applications and tools. This includes partnering with multi-functional teams (Corporate Accounting, Procurement, Finance & Strategy, Security, SOX Compliance, Legal etc) to assist with any and all integrations.

What you’ll do

  • Partnering with Corporate Accounting to transform business and automate processes to improve month- end close
  • Assessing business requirements, evaluating possible solutions and then implementing and/or recommending solutions
  • Working closely with multiple cross-functional teams such as Corporate accounting, Procurement, Finance & Strategy, Security, Tax, Technical Accounting and Reporting, SOX Compliance and Legal etc.
  • Creating and maintaining standards, procedures and documentation related to areas of responsibility
  • Participating in system audits and perform testing for disaster recovery or SOX Controls, ensuring a secure processing environment that protects the integrity and availability of information
  • Implementing SaaS system changes and administering access to systems and information within approved IT security policies, guidelines, and standards
  • Participating in SOX discussions to make finance systems in compliant. Conduct User Access Reviews and support Audit requests
  • Performing Proof of Concept exercises to test and evaluate competing design ideas and demonstrate functionality to business partners
  • Utilize user JIRA to track and manage project progress, issues and risks

What you bring

  • Functional implementation experience with 1-2 full Lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud Financial implementations including Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Assets, Cash Management, General Ledger and Reporting
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Oracle functional experience with 3+ years of experience in implementing or supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials projects and upgrades.
  • Solid understanding of SOX compliance regulations and its implementation in the IT/SaaS applications space
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, IT Change Control processes, development methodologies and application server lifer cycle management
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both engineering and non-engineering audiences with customer focus and problem solving approach
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with strong sense of ownership and accountability
