Market Data
Market Data’s charter is to provide Robinhood users with the most informative, relevant, accurate, and performant market data to help them make the investing decisions that will shape their financial future. As a foundational team in Brokerage, we want to enable our users to invest in any asset, anytime, any way, and from anywhere. Today, Market Data Platform is not a singular feature; rather it spans the entire Robinhood user experience with a foundational service that provides data to power experiences across asset classes such as advanced charts, new trading hours, portfolio views, and even new areas that will be going out to the world soon. Nearly every Robinhood feature operates with some Market Data involvement.
Financial Crimes
The mission of the financial crimes engineering team is to leverage technology to bolster our adherence to financial crime laws and regulations. This team is tasked with developing and managing the services and infrastructure vital for our anti-money laundering and sanctions screening systems. Their responsibility extends to safeguarding Robinhood and the financial system by preventing illicit actors from gaining access.
What you’ll do
- Build scalable systems and components, making the right tradeoffs to account for stability and long-term maintainability
- Design, write, test, and release platform or product-facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, team productivity, and reduce risk
- Collaborate closely and effectively with cross-functional partners, client teams, and vendors
What you bring
- 3+ years of software developer experience
- You have a track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering large-scope technical projects, setting a high standard for code quality and code review processes
- You deeply understand the design, product, and backend development disciplines so that you can work effectively with them
- Experience with Go or Python
- Experience with Kafka and data streaming technologies
- Experience with handling/processing large amounts of data
- Familiarity with other parts of the team’s tech stack (Postgres, K8s, Redis, AWS or similar)
- Bonus Points: Experience at a fintech company or financial firm
