About the team(s) + role(s)
Options Platform
The options platform team’s mission is to build and maintain the core infrastructure and APIs for trading and clearing options at Robinhood, ensuring a seamless and reliable experience for our users. Our goal is to build innovative products and maintain the systems that will make us the number one options trading brokerage for retail customers.
SMS Brokerage
The SMS (Stock Lending, Margin and Sweeps) Team is focused on building long term investment products that grow with the needs of our customers. Features owned by this team generate high revenue and any incremental changes to them will have a significant impact on our revenue streams. We are looking to revamp Stock Lending and Margin offerings based on User research and Market data.
Support Experience
Our team's mission is to provide world class support at scale. Robinhood's mission is to democratize finances for all and this team is the first line of defense when our customer have any issues or questions that could prevent them from investing with Robinhood. We help to ensure customers get the right support in a precise and timely manner. We use innovative solutions to help customers to address their issues. The team is at the forefront of buidling new technologies like generative AI support chatbots and large scale complex platforms.
What you’ll do
- Build scalable systems and components, making the right tradeoffs to account for stability and long-term maintainability
- Design, write, test, and release platform or product-facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, team productivity, and reduce risk
- Collaborate closely and effectively with cross-functional partners, client teams, and vendors
What you bring
- 3+ years of software developer experience
- You have a track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering large-scope technical projects, setting a high standard for code quality and code review processes
- You deeply understand the design, product, and backend development disciplines so that you can work effectively with them
- Experience with Go or Python
- Experience with Kafka and data streaming technologies
- Experience with handling/processing large amounts of data
- Familiarity with other parts of the team’s tech stack (Postgres, K8s, Redis, AWS or similar)
- Bonus Points: Experience at a fintech company or financial firm
