About the team + role

The preferred location for this position is in or around Robinhood's offices in Menlo Park, CA, Seattle, WA or New York City, NY, with in-office work capabilities, as may be required by management.

The Web Platform Team is the driver for the vision of web engineering at Robinhood. Our team exists to deliver a healthy and resilient web platform at scale.

We’re looking for a seasoned web engineer who is excited to build a world-class platform and industry-leading developer experience. When our engineers succeed, Robinhood does too.

As a Web Platform engineer team member, you’ll be working with colleagues that have a diverse set of skills, operating across large-scale horizontal projects that drive impact via leverage. Your customers are Robinhood’s web engineers who build out our product, internal tools, and marketing sites.

What you’ll do

  • Effectively work across a large Bazel monorepo
  • Work across client, server, architecture, and infrastructure that powers all of our web products. This includes the Robinhood web app, our brand sites, and web-based internal tooling
  • Ship libraries, frameworks, and abstractions to materially accelerate our web engineers’ velocity
  • Measure and test your work, quantifying impact through data
  • Own and drive platform-level projects from inception to design and implementation to launch, being the leading expert in the organization
  • Collaborate with product engineers to rapidly iterate and ship financial products

What you bring

  • 4+ years of full-time professional experience with modern Web standards, technologies, and frameworks
  • Comfortable in a monorepo environment and understand its benefits and costs
  • Skilled at writing and efficiently debugging JavaScript in Node and browser environments
  • Obsessed with building a best-in-class developer experience
  • Have a track record of successfully leading projects and delivering large scope technical projects at scale
  • Constantly setting a high standard for code quality, advocating for best practices in testing, and improving code review processes
  • Deeply understand broad engineering and product disciplines so that you can work effectively across functions and skill setsTechnologies we use

The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.

US Zone 1: $157000 - $185000
US Zone 2: $139000 - $163000
US Zone 3: $122000 - $144000

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the chart below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
