Coding Tech Apprenticeship

Alongside talented Road to Hire instructors, other dedicated apprentices and alumni, you can build technical and professional development skills and help diversify traditional corporate workspaces. About Joining This Apprenticeship:
This is a rigorous, six-month, PAID ($525/week) apprenticeship. R2H Apprentices are paired with strong mentorship along the way and learn skills needed to pursue high-paying tech careers at premier Charlotte employers like Bank of America, Duke Energy, and Red Ventures where Road to Hire continues to support you for a full year following your training.
When you join this cohort, you join a community. It will be your job to lift your peers as you climb, and in return, you can trust that they will do the same for you.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED
- Live in the Charlotte metropolitan area
- Be between the ages of 19 and 26
- Have authorization to work in the US
- Have access to reliable transportation to commute to office located in Fort Mil, SC
Key Upcoming Dates:
- Applications close on December 9 at 5:00 pm
- Those selected to move forward will be informed by December 16
- Access to Gateway will begin on December 16
- The program begins on March 24, 2025
More About Gateway
Gateway is an 8-week extended interview process in which we present some content you will be expected to learn. This opportunity allows applicants to show us how they would do in our learning environment. Gateway is an asynchronous experience in which candidates receive virtual instruction to develop and assess professional development and technical skills. Candidates must complete all aspects of Gateway to be considered for a position as an Apprentice.
There is a required in-person workshop in January where applicants will get live instruction.
The final week of Gateway will consist of a final interview where applicants will showcase what they've learned so far.

Program Schedule:
- The Apprenticeship takes place Monday - Friday from 9 am - 5 pm
- The program will have a hybrid schedule that requires participation 3 days per week in-person at the Road to Hire office
- Apprentices are responsible for securing reliable transportation to attend required in-person days
What We Are Looking For:
Technical experience is NOT required. However, strong candidates will have previous exposure to programming languages, frameworks, or general software development. Successful candidates will be excited about a career in tech, curious to learn, and open to feedback.
