ROLE SUMMARY

As the Sr. Manager, Employee Communications and Experiences, you will be a passionate champion of our mission, Compass Values, culture and ensure our communication strategies are meaningful and support employees. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leverage data and insights to deconstruct complex programs and build communication strategies that support employee productivity and engagement at the Rivian Manufactuing plant.
  • Socialize and align plans with site leadership and other stakeholders, including Legal, People (Human Resources), Safety and Facilities teams.
  • Manage the strategy, creative development and maintenance of communication channels and programming to support our plant employees.
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, including SharePoint, weekly newsletter content, Slack, and email.
  • Draft messages or scripts for senior executives for town halls, videos, new program announcements and operational updates in written or spoken form.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Communications to ensure message consistency with external communications.
  • Track and report on metrics and progress against organizational objectives.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years of experience in communications or a related discipline; experience in corporate, tech or manufacturing environment a plus
  • 5+ years working in executive communications and/or change management
  • Strong writer with attention to detail who can help translate information into compelling narratives
  • Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of disciplines and audiences to create clear communications
  • A highly organized self-starter capable of working independently across multiple workstreams, and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal communicator with partners at all levels to successfully drive projects to completion within tight deadlines
  • A highly organized self-starter capable of working independently across multiple workstreams, and as part of a team
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality is a must
  • Proficiency with experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and web publishing preferred.
