As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
This is what you’ll do:

- Understand and decompose high level attributes into system and subsystem level requirements, working closely with firmware developers on implementation strategy.
- Provide technical guidance to make key engineering decisions related to the architecture and system design of vehicle power-moding.
- Identify optimizations and synergies across the vehicle. Bringing together feature champions and tech leads as needed to collaborate on design decisions and minimize overall power consumption.
- Support the integration and triaging of issues related to vehicle power modes and sleep functionality.
- Develop feature design implementations and rollout plans to support the product roadmap and timelines.
- Work closely with firmware developers and engineers, and manufacturing and service engineers to define feature metrics and drive power mode management diagnostic improvements.
- Coordinate cross functional design reviews to ensure robust design and test strategy to meet program milestones.
This is what you’ll need:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience working on embedded systems with a particular focus on power management and startup/shutdown procedures
- Strong organizational skills able to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout project life cycle.
- Strong understanding of the trade-offs required to properly evaluate different design options.
- Software development experience. Able to code, familiar with Git, Jira, and software development lifecycle.
- Ability to take large concepts, decompose into realizable deliverables and work with team members to distribute tasks and execute individual responsibilities with minimal guidance.
- Ability to apply creative and critically thinking to deliver exceptional results.
- Good communication, able to convey both detailed explanations and high level status updates and know when each is appropriate.
- Automotive, CAN, Ethernet experience a plus.
