Internship Term: Summer 2022
Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date of December 2022 or May/June 2023.

Design, test and validate motion planning algorithms for autonomous driving.
Develop real-time planning algorithms under uncertainty.
Test, verify and implement algorithms in simulation environment and in the production vehicle.
Work closely with the system engineering team to formulate design verification plans and procedures, execute tests and generate engineering reports.
Currently pursuing a M.S. or PhD with a focus on computer science, machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, or other related technical field.
Experience coding in one or more of C / C++, Python or similar and applied research in the autonomy / ADAS space.
Students with an emphasis on autonomy, autonomous driving, SLAM, robotics or neural networks preferred.
Task or Motion Planning experience.
Prediction – Regression and Classification experience.
Experience with Optimization, Reinforcement Learning and/or Deep Learning a plus
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and execute on actions and tasks as requested by your team.
Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of working as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines, including with external stakeholders.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
