Role Summary

  • Plan and implement the enterprise-wide Quality Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, allied integrations, subsequent data, and information flow requirements mapping to support Quality; drive exceptional quality in all aspects of the business.
  • Lead Quality in developing and maintaining Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Verify system output and validate compliance.
  • Serve as a key communication link between quality teams (including Mfg. Quality, Systems Quality, Customer Quality) and IT to drive data driven development and robust problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement the enterprise-wide Quality Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, allied processes, subsequent data, and information flow requirements mapping to support Quality; drive exceptional quality in all aspects of the business.
  • Align with RIVIAN IT strategy and plans; define requirements driven by Quality strategy and ensure integration at the system level across various areas of manufacturing and business.
  • Develop and execute implementation plan, provide business requirements to IT solution architects that supports Quality initiatives.
  • Serve as a key communication link between quality teams including Mfg. Quality, Systems Quality, and IT to drive data driven robust problem solving.
  • Lead Quality in developing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and maintaining it for the life of the program. Provide clear communication to IT team for current and future projects. Verify system output and validate compliance.
  • Lead cross functional system implementation, integration and improvement projects related to IT solutions for quality.
  • Lead system integration activities for multiple programs including requirements mapping, quality configurations, testing, validation, and launch.
  • Responsible to lead in support of organizational and team goals for critical business issues and long-term solutions; determine, track, and deliver key Quality and QMS implementation KPIs.
  • Ensure ease of understanding and consistency within information/data flow through various systems to deliver the requirements; lead data driven improvements and/or changes in process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and process background, including Advance Product Quality Planning, PPAP, Manufacturing and Launch Process, Warranty Management, Problem Solving (5-why, DMAIC), Continuous improvement and Lean methods, etc.
  • MUST have experience launching Manufacturing Execution systems (MES), Quality configurations for manufacturing and operations team.
  • In depth understanding and experience developing Quality system and its KPI.
  • Proven track record of maintaining health of Manufacturing Systems (MES) on a regular basis with IT team.
  • Experience launching new quality systems processes with cross-functional team.
  • Experience with various quality software packages such as Quality Systems, MES, PLM, Minitab etc.
  • Experience with Tableau or other data analytics tools.
  • Experience with leading large-scale continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations
  • Willingness to work in a strong cross functional environment
  • Proven technical knowledge and ability to collaborate with engineering and suppliers
  • Experience with VISIO, Manufacturing, Quality, ERP systems, Supply chain and Transportation management systems
