Internship Term: Summer 2022
Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date of December 2022 or May/June 2023.

Conduct Lithium-ion test cell tear down, post-mortem analysis and physical inspection
Work and learn on electrochemical methods for cell/material/failure analysis
Carry on electrode material characterization experiments Work on material characterizations to figure out the root-cause of cell failures
Bachelor/Master/PhD student in Materials/Chemical/Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
Understand the fundamentals on electrochemistry and testing methods (CV, EIS, PITT, GITT, etc.)
Hands on experience in at least one of the characterization techniques including SEM/EDS, XPS, XRD, XRF, GC-MS, IC, TGA, DSC, CT, light microscope
Hands on experience in cell teardown, operating glovebox and coin cell/single-layer pouch cell assembly
