Develop test and validation plans for algorithms to be validated in software and in real-time operating environments
Collaborate with software engineers to implement the algorithms on Rivian cloud
Collaborate with energy systems controls engineers to co-develop algorithms that leverage edge data and intelligence in conjunction with cloud data and algorithms
Collaborate with system engineers to interpret requirements
Participate in algorithm and code design reviews
THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Advanced degree in engineering or computer science with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Experience developing algorithms for energy and charging optimization
Experience working with software teams to successfully deploy algorithms
Experience developing a product from concept to successful commercialization
Strong domain knowledge in power and energy systems
Strong understanding of utilities, billing structures and electricity markets
