Perform vehicle level testing on dynos, proving grounds and on public roads related to overall vehicle attributes and performance
Own planning and execution of a subset of overall vehicle DVP testing
Work cross functionally with relevant internal stakeholders and external test facilities to communicate test requirements, setup, and logistics
Complete test data analysis and reporting; convey technical data and test results to a broader team
Assist in the development of mule test planning high level timing plans, mule builds, data analysis, control system data collection and some calibration
Create test design documentation including test instructions, specifications, instrumentation and data structures
Drive prototype vehicles during certain tests
Engage in subjective evaluation of system performances including cabin HVAC, vehicle dynamics, towing, NVH, off road performance, extreme weather and more
3+ years in a similar role
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
Strong engineering fundamentals relevant field
Working knowledge of general automotive systems, including thermal, chassis control, EV propulsion and body systems
Working knowledge of data acquisition systems, analog and digital sensors, data analysis and reporting tools
Familiarity with Vector CAN tools or similar CAN communication
Experience working with vehicle instrumentation, thermocouples, pressure sensors, flowmeters
Experience running and maintaining a variety of vehicle level and component level tests
Team first mentality
Desire to understand how things work and learn independently
Ability to work autonomously
