As Series Engineer – Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics, you will be an integral part of the team ensuring Chassis System are able to be manufactured to high levels of quality and performance on both the R1 and RPV programs This will be achieved through strong indirect working relationships with both the Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics engineering team but also manufacturing, purchasing, quality, test and development and all other engineering departments.
Work closely with Manufacturing to contain and resolve production issues related to Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics
Design, develop, and implement changes to Chassis systems as continuous improvement on running programs
Work closely with Quality, Supplier Quality, Test and Development and Production to ensure products robustly deliver attribute performance and durability.
Evaluate braking, steering, ride and handling attributes in production vehicles both subjectively and objectively.
Over 3 years of experience within the automotive industry, ideally OEM or Tier 1
Good interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity
Proven knowledge of automotive design and development processes to successfully develop and launch a vehicle into production
Good working knowledge of all Chassis systems within a vehicle platform
Strong knowledge of supplier processes, manufacturing and standards
