We are looking for a skilled soft goods production manager to run the development process through full product life cycle, while managing timelines, sustainability goals and all documentation. This position will also work cross functionally with our Brand, Retail, Legal and Product Development partners.
Responsible for end-to-end vendor management process
Develop vendor guidelines, scoring system, and confirm compliance
Develop processes to coordinate approvals with legal and Intellectual Property partners
Guide product development and production on garment construction and global labeling standards
Manage material tracking including raw, open market, and trims
Maintain knowledge of standards outlined in Rivian vendor contracts
Advise internal and external team members on global shipping and import/export compliance
Work with third party certification and testing services
Work with translation services
Coordinate and keep records of all product testing
Confirm and track HTS codes for all items
Competitive benchmarking of tags and labels
Assist with copy proofing
Special projects and other duties as assigned
Some travel required
Vendor management experience with domestic and international suppliers
Deep knowledge of bringing product to market
Strong project management skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships, solicit cooperation, and achieve results through collaboration
Experience creating and maintaining scalable tracking tools
Microsoft Office with advanced Excel knowledge
PLM experience a plus
SAP experience a plus
Proven ability to drive process improvements across all areas managed
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
B.A. in apparel industry or a combination of college education and relevant work experience
5+ years experience in apparel or soft goods production, compliance, or raw material management
