We operate development centers in Plymouth, Michigan; Southern California (Irvine, Carson & LA); Silicon Valley (San Jose and Palo Alto); Vancouver, British Columbia; and Surrey, England; as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.
Design, maintain and produce fixtures various security and manufacturing needs
Building bench setups in the lab with ECUs, including creating all the connections and cabling
Creating hardware tooling for security needs, such as the key fob jigs or VAS debugging fixtures
Designing small PCBs/boards to connect to the custom Rivian devices or supplier ECUs for bench/lab testing
Any CAD work needed by the team, including CATIA/ENOVIA work, Fusion360, or Altium
Light programming microcontrollers or embedded devices for automating bench/vehicle testing, fixturing, etc.
Experience with various forms of CAD, including 2D/3D modeling, PCB CAD/EDA and designing for rapid prototyping (Altium)
Familiarity with 3D Printing (FDM and Resin), CNC Laser Cutting/Engraving, and general small CNC machines
Light programming for embedded devices in C for rapid prototyping (Arduino/embedded Linux, etc.)
Basic electrical and mechanical engineering concepts for prototyping
Hands-on capability to build one-off items/devices from concept to completion on their own
