Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
We operate development centers in Plymouth, Michigan; Southern California (Irvine, Carson & LA); Silicon Valley (San Jose and Palo Alto); Vancouver, British Columbia; and Surrey, England; as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.
Our company is growing, and we are looking for writers to help tell the Rivian story. Typically called “Employer Brand”, your writing will help us recruit and retain the right kinds of people.
What you’ll do:
Partner with the Talent and Internal Comms teams, writing content that shows the kinds of people we are, the work we do and the impact we seek to make.
On a tactical level, you will engage through social, write for our website and blog, develop videos, conduct interviews, make content, etc. In the bigger sense, your writing will capture the energy and spirit of what it’s like to be part of Rivian.
You will create very targeted work, like attracting people for specific roles (like Software Developers, Manufacturing Engineers or Industrial Designers). You’ll also help paint the broader picture of Rivian, helping people see themselves as part of our culture.
Who you are:
A curious writer. You want to learn about Rivian and our people and think of new ways to share our culture with the world through your writing.
An empathetic storyteller. You relate to people and help them see themselves here at Rivian, drawing them into our larger mission.
Inviting and inclusive. You understand the importance of belonging and creating spaces where all people — and their ideas — are welcome.
Always hungry. You see our growth as an opportunity to create content and tell stories. You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building things from scratch. You enjoy fast paced environments and producing lots of work.
Past experience in recruiting or internal communications is not essential. The ability to tell impactful, human stories is.
7+ years of writing in a high energy environment.
