Role Summary
The Quality team member will assess hardware configuration and design quality requirements per IPC 610 A and associated workmanship standards. Acceptance and nonconformances are documented with detail and accuracy to ensure effective traceability and corrective action. Cross-functional collaboration with members of Operations, Engineering and Quality team members will be necessary to achieve a high level of product quality.

• Verify and resolve product configuration issues
• Identify and assign rework actions necessary
• Conduct Product Acceptance verification and final approval
• Log reports and findings (defects) necessary to ensure accuracy of all Quality records for traceability.
• Collaborate with other members of the engineering staff to support both project and internal R&D efforts

• Must have CURRENT certification for IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001
• Certification for IPC/WHMA-A-620 highly preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in IPC inspection including:
o Ability to review and interpret technical data packages for electronic assemblies
o Successful electronic assembly experience including SMT, T/H & Mechanical Design
o Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls
o Experience with New Product and Process Development
• Ability to effectively operate visual magnification devices (microscopes, etc.)
• Ability to effectively operate and interpret basic electronic measuring devices
• Ability to effectively operate and interpret basic mechanical measuring devices
• Acceptable visual acuity and eye-hand coordination
• Fine motor skill dexterity and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving capability preferred
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing / production environment
• Candidates must be able to perform in a self-directed in a fast-paced working environment
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates proficiency in Windows, MS Office Suite
