- Work closely our Director of Industrial Design and Charging team to execute products and experiences that help us move closer to a carbon-free future.
- Help push our visual and interactive themes into new territories.
- Exhibit a forward thinking and collaborative approach to design.
- Develop a deep understanding of our customer and design to their needs.
- Work closely with engineering + supplier teams to bring products to market with high quality execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring early concepts to life and build our future roadmap.
- Generate unique product concepts + IP for Rivian.
- Geek out on all things design — fashion, architecture, music, photography, travel, outdoor goods and more.
- Always be looking for ways to add value to our team beyond your job description.
- Look outside the automotive industry for inspiration.
- 2-3+ years of experience industrial design
- Rockstar technical skills (sketching, CAD, renderings)
- High taste level + deep understanding of form language
- Experience taking products from concept to market (at least 3 products)
- Strong knowledge of design process
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Experience outside of automotive is a plus
- Passion for sustainable living is a plus
- Experience using Adobe Suite and CAD surface modeling (Catia, Solidworks, Blender)
