Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
We operate development centers in Plymouth, Michigan; Southern California (Irvine, Carson & LA); Silicon Valley (San Jose and Palo Alto); Vancouver, British Columbia; and Surrey, England; as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.
Rivian’s growing Communications team seeks a Corporate Communications
Manager to assist with the team’s growing needs across company partnerships, emerging
projects, and business and trade media requests. This position is based in Irvine, CA;
relocation is provided, and we encourage applicants from other locations to apply.
-You’ll cooperate with our partners to share our news and route inbound inquiries from
business and trade reporters, as well as those who report on Rivian’s partnerships.
-You’ll work with our suppliers and partners to develop stories and mine for joint news
-You’ll grow and maintain contacts in the B-to-B, fleet, and trade media spaces.
-You’ll track perception of these spaces over time and will never stop looking for
unexpected opportunities for Rivian’s tech-side projects to celebrate their design,
engineering, and deployment success.
-You have a couple years of experience with B-to-B, energy, or technology
communication. Got a little less? Talk to us about why you’re a great fit.
-You’re excited by technology- distilling complex material and finding the right narrative
for the right audience is what you’d love to be doing. You love drilling into “why.”
-You prefer to work as part of a lean, disciplined, high-responsibility comms team.
-You’ve prepared coverage reports and make a mean deck.
-Fully developed writing and communication skills.
-Listening skills. You’ll need to take time to learn about Rivian, to minimize “I,” and to
think and act as part of a team.
