As Consumer Communications Manager, you’ll join a growing team tasked with bringing Rivian’s story to life to our wide array of consumer audiences. A big picture thinker with an equal appreciation for and attention to detail, you’ll bring a passion for storytelling, a knack for distilling complex information into compelling narratives and strong media relations skills to the team.
This position is based in Irvine, CA. Relocation is provided, and we encourage applicants from other locations to apply.
You’ll work with your team and stakeholders across the organization to surface strategic PR opportunities, thinking through story angles, media targets and timing to optimize impact and reach.
You’ll approach every media opportunity as a way for Rivian to expand its audience, to drive interest in stories about families, community, environmental stewardship and adaptive reuse; all key elements of the Rivian story.
You’ll grow and maintain media relationships in key consumer verticals, honing in on outlets that align with the lifestyles of Rivian customers.
You’ll be on the frontlines for responding to media inquiries, managing requests and fielding opportunities while working with your team and key stakeholders to develop messaging and responses in a timely manner.
You have a passion for the story beyond the product.
You think holistically about a consumer’s information ecosystem and will work with and across teams at Rivian to find the best ways to reach consumers where they’re at.
You enjoy many facets of the work of communications and prefer to work as part of a lean, disciplined, high-responsibility comms team.
You have a background in consumer PR and have worked with lifestyle-driven products in either an agency or in-house setting.
