Role Summary:
Rivian’s growing Consumer Communications team seeks an Automotive Communications Manager to connect current and future Rivian owners with Rivian’s products, brand, and mission via editorial relationship-building and activations. This position is based in Irvine, CA; relocation is provided, and we encourage applicants from other locations to apply.
Responsibilities:
-Our customers are seeking bottomless technical and product detail- you’ll help to make sure they have it baked into content both by and about us in technology, outdoor, design, and automotive spaces.
-You’ll think past the traditional automotive narrative to welcome and create stories about Rivian and families, exploration, adaptive use, and stewardship.
-You’ll maintain rich relationships with automotive media.
-You’ll track perception of our vehicles over time and will never stop looking for opportunities to represent our team and products authentically.
Preferred experience and traits:
-Experience supporting an automotive or technology program at an OEM or embedded agency.
-A real love of vehicles and the places they take you.
-Excitement around being part of a lean, disciplined, high-responsibility comms team.
-Flexibility.
-A focus on bringing warmth, fun and inclusiveness to media and customer interactions with our products.
-Fully developed writing and communication skills.
-Listening skills. You’ll need to take time to learn about Rivian, to minimize “I,” and to think and act as part of a team.
