This is what you’ll do:

Architecture

  • Understand the vehicle target architecture including ancillary systems.
  • Understand how and why we run our automation tests on each platform.
  • Assist in developing and testing backend automation infrastructure.
  • Understand electric symbols and schematics.

Automation

  • Run manual tests and feed finding into automated execution workflows.
  • Develop circuit board layouts and bring up small test boards with Electrical Engineering.
  • Automation Test development experience with Python and test scripts is a plus.

Testing and Debugging

  • Work with the Electrical Engineer to create and program test systems.
  • Help debug and maintain our test systems.
  • Use multi-meters, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug Hardware issue.
  • Add data acquisition units to the system.
  • Analyze and report logs.
 
This is what you’ll need:
  • BS in CE, EE, or related field.
  • 0-1+ years work experience in related field.
  • Strong Python familiarity.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, reliant on core engineering principals and common sense.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and inter-personal skills (both in presentation and technical writing).
  • Familiarity with automotive communications is a plus.
