We operate development centers in Plymouth, Michigan; Southern California (Irvine, Carson & LA); Silicon Valley (San Jose and Palo Alto); Vancouver, British Columbia; and Surrey, England; as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.
Anticipate and identify industrial hygiene issues and concerns in all areas of the manufacturing space
Develop and maintain quantitative/qualitative monitoring plans at manufacturing locations
Create work plans related to: chemicals in the work place, hearing conservation, thermal stress, ion-izing/non-ionizing radiation, etc
Design and implement medical surveillance programs with in-house occupational clinic staff
Participate on collaborative teams to solve problems and address concerns
Generate and deliver training related to workplace exposure, medical surveillance, etc
Manage existing COVID-19 high frequency testing program and update/improve as necessary
Serve as a subject matter expert to the larger EHS team and other stakeholders
Serve as Laser Safety Officer and Radiation Safety Officer
Ability to understand written procedures and apply regulatory and consensus standards to situations in the plant
Excellent decision making skills and attention to detail
Long-term think but able to take short-term action
Certified Industrial Hygienist
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or similar
3-5 years of practical experience in an Industrial Hygiene role
