Design and implement Brake components from concept to production
Meet program timing & budget constraints whilst achieving vehicle dynamic, crash, aero, NVH and chassis attribute targets with focus on Brake system.
Define validation procedures to ensure only optimized, integrated and robust designs are released
Manage designed parts in the virtual environment and support virtual build and release activities
Manage suppliers to deliver component designs on time and to specification.
Create and track DVP&R, DFMEA, GD&T, Functional Safety, statement of requirements (SOR) and component technical specifications (CTS) for Brake components.
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or equivalent
2-3 years of experience at a major tier one developing or at an OEM releasing Brakes Components
Must be familiar with DFMEA/DVPR usage and review of these documents
Catia (V6 preferred)
Ability to understand Engineering direction and provide design concepts accordingly
Collaborate with larger teams of peer designers, engineers, functional teams
Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
Intense technical curiosity, High energy and proactive attitude towards problems and challenges
