The Senior Program Manager, Product Knowledge will lead the creation and implementation of learning, training, and internal communications for Rivian’s growing product portfolio. This position will work in a highly collaborative capacity to build and scale programs that will be deployed across Rivian, including: foundational product training, product walkthrough videos and how-tos, ongoing product updates, new product launches, and knowledge base articles. You’ll design training on how Rivian’s frontline employees engage customers with our products and educate them about all things EV – from technology and industry trends to benefits of ownership. You’ll combine your creativity and knowledge of adult learning concepts to build an innovative learning curriculum that continuously up-levels product knowledge across Rivian’s Commercial organization and beyond.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in Product Training (automotive strongly preferred), eLearning / Instructional Design, Curriculum Strategy, Graphic Design, and Video Production and Editing.
This is What You’ll Do:
- Create an end-to-end product knowledge strategy that is branded, engaging, and comprehensive
- Keep your eyes on the bigger picture and design learning strategies and programs that scale
- Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders at varying levels of the organization to understand current and future product knowledge needs
- Partner with internal teams and highly technical subject matter experts to determine training needs, scope solutions, and translate complex concepts into easily digestible content
- Own full-cycle training solutions from design, development, implementation, to evaluation
- Write project briefs outlining learning objectives, content, and evaluation criteria
- Design, develop, and deliver blended learning experiences for modern learners through eLearning courses, facilitator-led workshops, job aids, and other solutions (leveraging vendors where needed)
- Develop and maintain foundational product training programs to onboard customer-facing teams
- Facilitate training to front-line teams (i.e. field organization, call center, retail, event staff)
- Design assessments to gauge employee performance and program outcomes and transform that data into meaningful and engaging reports / summaries
- Create effective train-the-trainer programs and facilitator guides to grow and scale product knowledge offerings at Rivian
- Ensure all product knowledge programs reflects Rivian’s mission, values, voice and tone
This Is What You'll Need:
- 7-10+ years in product training, learning and development in a retail or customer service environment
- Understanding of automotive industry, electric vehicles, and car-buying and servicing experiences
- Experience building out and scaling product knowledge programs at a tech / high growth company
- Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, learning and development tools, and project management
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills (including vendor management skills)
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast paced and iterative environment
- Proven track record of executing multiple complex projects simultaneously from start to finish
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate to get things done together
- Ability to communicate a clear programmatic vision, roadmap, and potential obstacles
- An innovative, customer-centric mindset and approach
- Someone who happily embraces the pace and pressure of building a company from the ground up
- Previous international experience preferred
- Ability to travel up to 20-30%
