We operate development centers in Plymouth, Michigan; Southern California (Irvine, Carson & LA); Silicon Valley (San Jose and Palo Alto); Vancouver, British Columbia; and Surrey, England; as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.
This is what you’ll do:
-Work with vehicle controls team to drive feature development through systems design, development, integration and validation.
-Work with cross functional engineering teams to establish program scope and deliverables, development schedules, milestones, dependencies (including resources and cost), validation plans, success criteria, track progress, and drive issue resolution among the teams.
-Align vehicle controls features with overall vehicle plan. Ensure timely deliverables, and when needed, fine tune and adjust plans to reduce overall impact to the program. Responsible for risk management and contingency planning.
-Drive deep dive meetings, conduct design and milestone reviews with Engineering and Management teams.
-Provide weekly status reports to leadership team highlighting progress, top issues/risks, and next steps. Provide timely escalation of issues, dependencies and risks impacting the program to the Management team.
This is what you’ll need:
-Master's/Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
-Minimum 8+ years of technical program management experience.
-Proven technology and technical program management expertise in delivering new technologies and products, and in managing teams in matrix organizations and suppliers/customers across multiple locations.
-Deep understanding of engineering and cost functions, SW development, validation and release processes.
-Must possess strong leadership/management skills, and a team player.
-Proven ability to solve complex problems, work with ambiguity and be self-motivated.
-Experienced with implementing and refining new processes.
-Experience with task management tools, and familiar with continuous integration concepts.
-Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Must be customer-focused while also being focused on cost, quality and delivery.
