Role Summary

As a Battery Testing Intern, you will support the team’s efforts to characterize and validate the battery pack at various different system levels.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of tests for current and future battery pack designs
  • Work cross-functionally with the validation, battery management, and mechanical design team to coordinate work with battery technicians
  • Report findings on performance and degradation back to the team

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar Engineering degree at the time of application (Junior-Senior preferred)
  • Python scripting knowledge required 
  • Exposure to thermo-dynamics, and linear circuits preferred. If have exposure to lithium-ion battery that's a plus
  • FSAE, Baja, Eco-Car, E-Car or similar mobility club experience preferred
  • Personal interests in sustainability, sustainable energy solutions 
  • A desire to find more efficient ways of taking and processing big data sets
  • Strategic thinking with high level of resiliency and patience
  • Self-motivated and committed to deliver high quality work on time
  • Personal interest in outdoors and healthy lifestyle is a plus
  • Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
