- Lead the architectural design of vehicle features that enhance the customer experience.
- Leverage and extend the existing software platform to ensure a consistent, cohesive fabric on which future features will be built.
- Identify optimizations and synergies across the vehicle.
- Bring together feature champions, tech leads and subject matter experts as needed to collaborate on design decisions.
- Be a technical reference for key engineering decisions.
- Coordinate between hardware and software teams for new architecture decisions and contribute technical input to the overall system roadmap.
- Contribute to ECU/module requirements: processing power, connectivity, reliability, networking, fault tolerance, etc…
- Help define the functional breakdown of what belongs where in the vehicle network.
- Coordinate design reviews for any/all of the above.
- Prototype and validate any/all of the above.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Ability to take concepts, decompose into realizable deliverables and work with team members to distribute tasks and execute individual responsibilities with minimal guidance.
- Strong understanding of the trade-offs required to properly evaluate different design options.
- Software development experience and familiarity with software development lifecycle. Able to read/write/debug code (such as C, Python).
- Automotive, CAN, Ethernet, Networking experience a plus, along with SW tools like git, Jira.
